A LowEndTalk user reports a CloudCone VPS in the new St. Louis DC1 location has been offline for about four days with a dead VNC console and a panel reboot loop. Support allegedly replied with Los Angeles migration alert templates, suggested a full rebuild instead of backend recovery, and took up to 18 hours per response. The user is requesting hypervisor-level intervention to recover data without wiping the disk.

Community reports on LowEndTalk say OVHcloud VPS automated backups/snapshots have repeatedly frozen guest VMs since April 2026. On July 12, a recurrence on vps-66c201a8 left the instance unresponsive for over six hours after a guest-fsfreeze with no thaw; recovery again required the legacy API endpoint abortSnapshot. Users report tickets being closed as resolved while the issue persists, and some are migrating production workloads away.
DMIT Offers Free One-Time IPv4 Self-Service Change for Existing Services

DMIT has rolled out a free, unconditional one-time self-service IPv4 change for services created before July 1, 2026, redeemable through September 1, 2026. Each service may use it once with no manual review required. IP changes are irreversible, and DMIT does not guarantee accessibility on third-party sites, streaming or AI platforms, or geolocation accuracy on test sites.
RackNerd Proactive KVM VPS Security Maintenance for CVE-2026-53359

RackNerd's infrastructure team has proactively applied live mitigations for CVE-2026-53359 ("Januscape"), a KVM virtualization vulnerability not specific to RackNerd. As an additional precaution, a small number of host nodes where mitigations could not be fully verified will be rebooted, causing brief VPS reboots of less than 10 minutes for affected customers. No customer action is required.
