BandwagonHost Completes Emergency Host Reboots for CVE-2026-99999
5 days ago
BandwagonHost has marked its emergency security maintenance for CVE-2026-99999, the critical KVM guest-escape vulnerability, as resolved, and its status page now shows all systems operational. The status was updated at 3:49 AM PDT on October 18 (18:49 Beijing time), ahead of the scheduled window end of 23:00 PST on October 18. During the maintenance every physical host was patched and rebooted, so VPS instances were paused for about 6 to 7 minutes in most cases, with interruptions of up to roughly 15 to 20 minutes, and some restarted. BandwagonHost chose immediate reboots over live migration because migrating ahead of each host reboot would have taken about two weeks.
BandwagonHost Reboots All Host Servers in Emergency Maintenance for CVE-2026-99999
6 days ago
BandwagonHost is carrying out emergency maintenance across all host servers to patch CVE-2026-99999, a critical KVM guest-escape vulnerability. The work requires rebooting the physical hosts: VPS instances are paused while their host reboots, and some may also restart. BandwagonHost asks customers to allow about 15 to 20 minutes of interruption, with most pauses lasting around 6 to 7 minutes, though some may take longer. Because migrating every VPS before each reboot would take about two weeks, the company is prioritizing immediate patching and cannot schedule per-host windows in advance. The maintenance window runs from 19:00 PST on October 15 to 23:00 PST on October 18.

I have been using this hosting provider's services for some time now, and my overall impressions are positive. The process of ordering a virtual server and its subsequent activation happens without any delays. The performance level of the servers is consistently high, which is crucial for the smooth operation of my projects. The control panel is intuitive and easy to navigate. I would specifically like to mention the technical support: the specialists respond promptly, are truly knowledgeable in technical matters, and provide great help with configurations. The wide range of locations and flexible tariff plans make it easy to find the right solution for specific needs. The service is reliable, and the pricing policy is well-justified for the quality provided
