DigitalOcean says App Platform deployment operations were disrupted globally between 12:34 and 20:15 Beijing time on October 13 (04:34–12:15 UTC). During that window customers may have been unable to deploy new applications or scale existing ones; apps that were already running kept working normally. The cause was a software update that stopped application containers from starting on newly provisioned nodes. DigitalOcean rolled back the update and restored the affected nodes, and deployment and scaling are operating normally again.

DigitalOcean investigated intermittent external DNS lookup failures affecting Managed Kubernetes clusters across multiple regions. Applications on affected clusters could fail to resolve external domain names. A fix was applied during monitoring, and the incident was resolved at about 2026-10-11 23:29 UTC (2026-10-12 07:29 Beijing time); impact began around 22:01 UTC (06:01 Beijing time).
DigitalOcean Resolves Global VPC Networking Disruption

DigitalOcean reported a platform-wide disruption to VPC Networking operations that began at about 08:48 UTC on October 5 (16:48 Beijing time). During the incident, creating or deleting VPC peerings, VPC-native DOKS clusters and Private Network Connections (PNCs), as well as adding cluster members, could be delayed or fail; creating routes and subnets may also have been affected. A fix was applied and the issue was fully resolved as of 10:29 UTC (18:29 Beijing time); pending operations were cleared and VPC operations have remained stable. Customers still seeing unexpected behavior are advised to open a support ticket.
DigitalOcean Resolves BLR1 Region Network Disruption

From 11:59 UTC to 13:02 UTC on October 3, 2026, a networking disruption in DigitalOcean’s BLR1 (Bangalore) region affected multiple products, including Droplets, Kubernetes, App Platform, Managed Databases, Spaces, Load Balancers, Monitoring, Functions, and the Cloud Control Panel. Some users saw degraded connectivity, higher latency, or intermittent errors. Multiple upstream network paths were unavailable, including redundant paths meant to keep traffic flowing. Remaining capacity became saturated until routing was restored. DigitalOcean Engineering and Network teams worked with upstream providers; all affected services returned to normal. The resolve notice was posted at 14:51 UTC.
Server-Side Tools Now Available for DigitalOcean Inference Engine

DigitalOcean has released Server-Side Tools in Public Preview for its Inference Engine. Models can now call web search, web fetch, Knowledge Bases, MCP servers, and supported Anthropic and OpenAI tools within a single inference request using existing Model Access Keys.
