Hetzner has marked the vSwitch MAC learning incident as resolved. The cause was that MAC entries on some access switches were not reliably installed after MAC updates, which could delay MAC learning and leave ARP/NDP requests unanswered, causing packet loss between servers in the same vSwitch. Hetzner applied corrective measures to the affected devices and is monitoring closely. The incident ran from 03:00 Beijing time on October 20 to 15:34 on October 21. Customers still seeing connectivity problems within a vSwitch should contact support with the vSwitch ID and the affected servers.
Hetzner Schedules Urgent Maintenance on vSwitch to Cloud Network Connectors

Hetzner will carry out urgent maintenance starting at 16:00 on October 21 (Asia/Shanghai) on the network devices that connect vSwitches with Hetzner Cloud Networks, applying updates to improve the stability and scalability of these connections. The devices are redundant across several locations and will be updated one after another. During each update, traffic between a vSwitch and a Cloud Network may be temporarily routed via another location, which can increase latency. Traffic within a vSwitch and within a Cloud Network is not affected. No end time has been announced.

Hetzner Restores Object Storage in FSN1 After Repeated Degradation

Hetzner's Object Storage in the FSN1 (Falkenstein) location was degraded starting at 21:28 Beijing time on October 18, with requests failing or timing out for customers whose buckets sit on the affected cluster. Hetzner first traced the problem to a machine with networking issues, likely hardware-related, removed it from the cluster and restored service at about 22:31. The degradation returned at about 23:44 because a component had become stuck after the earlier fault. Hetzner pinpointed the cause and reported the service available again at 02:03 on October 19, and it remains under monitoring. This is the third FSN1 Object Storage degradation Hetzner has reported since October 12.
