Hetzner Performing Urgent Maintenance on All Core Routers

Hetzner is carrying out urgent maintenance on all of its core routers, servicing them one after another. During the work, network redundancy is reduced globally. Hetzner does not expect service interruptions, but customers may experience increased latency. Affected systems include datacenter network, vSwitch, uplinks, backbone, and Cloud Network. Maintenance started at 10:00 UTC on October 15, 2026 and was still in progress at scan time.
Hetzner Restores Cloud API, Hetzner API and Console After Attack

Hetzner has closed the incident in which its Cloud API, the Hetzner API and the Hetzner Console were partially unavailable because of an attack on its infrastructure. The disruption began on October 14 at 12:58 UTC. Hetzner reported at 14:02 UTC that the attack was over and moved to monitoring, then confirmed at 14:25 UTC that the attack had been stopped and both APIs and the Console were fully reachable again. Affected systems listed were Cloud Load Balancer, Networks, Cloud Server, Object Storage and Cloud Volume management.

Hetzner reports that an attack on its infrastructure left the Cloud API, the Hetzner API and the Hetzner Console partially unavailable starting October 14 at 20:58 Beijing time (12:58 UTC). Affected systems listed by Hetzner include Cloud Servers, Load Balancers, Networks, Cloud Volumes and Object Storage. At 22:02 Beijing time (14:02 UTC) Hetzner said the attack was over and that it is monitoring the systems. Users who saw failed API calls, automation errors or console problems during this window may want to retry those operations.
Hetzner Resolves Cloud Server IPv6 Routing Problems

Hetzner has marked the Cloud Server IPv6 routing fault as resolved and says all systems are reachable again. The fault, which left some cloud servers unreachable over IPv6 while IPv4 traffic was unaffected, began on October 13 at 19:00 Beijing time (11:00 UTC) and was fixed on October 14 at 16:36 Beijing time (08:36 UTC), lasting about 21.5 hours. Users who switched to IPv4 as a workaround can return to normal IPv6 access.

Users who depend on IPv6 access to their cloud servers may want to use IPv4 in the meantime.

Hetzner will carry out routine maintenance on the emergency power systems in two of its Helsinki (HEL1) data centers. HEL1-DC1 is scheduled for October 13, 05:00–13:00 UTC (13:00–21:00 Beijing time). HEL1-DC2 is scheduled from October 14, 05:00 UTC to October 15, 13:00 UTC (October 14, 13:00 to October 15, 21:00 Beijing time). Because the power supply is built with redundancy, Hetzner does not expect any impact on customer services.
