Due to incorrect limit calculations, some actions such as creating resources or moving a resource to another project did not work properly. Affected cloud products included Cloud Servers, Load Balancers, Networks, Object Storage and Cloud Volumes. The issue lasted from about 16:20 to 18:03 Beijing time on October 6 and has been fixed.

Hetzner: Load Balancer IPs Convert to Primary IPs; Limits Auto-Adjusted

Hetzner posted an in-progress notice about Primary IP limits after the Load Balancer IP transition (status start 2026-10-02 09:43 UTC; estimated end 2026-10-07 16:00 UTC). During the Load Balancer IP conversion starting 5 October, Load Balancer IPs will be converted to primary IPs. If that causes a project to exceed its primary IP limit, Hetzner will adjust the limit automatically—no customer action required. Customers who need a specific IP count (for example for server autoscaling) should request a limit increase.
Hetzner Marks vSwitch Connectivity Issues as Resolved

Hetzner has marked the vSwitch connectivity incident as Resolved (ended 2026-10-02 07:56 UTC). During the event, packet loss, higher latency, or dropped connections between servers on a vSwitch were possible. Hetzner says the cause was a problem with MAC learning on the vSwitch, and that there are currently no further reports of the issue. Bare-metal customers who flushed ARP tables during the Watching phase should no longer need that workaround. Related: new vSwitch IP/MAC limits take effect from 2026-10-12 (see Hetzner status).
